Plans and km

How does prepaid km work?

You buy a pack of kilometres up front and drive until you need more. There's no weekly rent. Standard packs come in 500, 1,000, 2,000 and 9,000 km sizes; Premium packs in 1,000, 2,000, 5,000 and 9,000 km.

How much are the packs?

Standard Model 3: 500 km A$320, 1,000 km A$590, 2,000 km A$760, 9,000 km A$1,990. Standard Model Y: 500 km A$350, 1,000 km A$640, 2,000 km A$840, 9,000 km A$1,990. Premium 2027 Model 3: 1,000 km A$650, 2,000 km A$1,240, 5,000 km A$2,950, 9,000 km A$4,190. Premium 2027 Model Y: 1,000 km A$730, 2,000 km A$1,400, 5,000 km A$3,350, 9,000 km A$4,590. All prices include 10% GST.

Which pack do I start with?

New drivers start with the 9,000 km pack: A$1,990 on standard plans, or A$4,190 (2027 Model 3) / A$4,590 (2027 Model Y) on Premium, incl. GST. It unlocks your car and it's the best value per km. After that, top up with any pack.

Do prepaid km expire?

No. Prepaid km never expire as long as you top up at least once every 8 weeks. The minimum top-up is 500 km on standard plans and 1,000 km on Premium.

Is there a loyalty bonus?

On Premium, buy three 9,000 km packs in a row and you get a bonus 1,500 km of prepaid km.

Can I top up any time?

Yes, whenever you like. Standard plans top up online at the top-up page. Premium drivers: contact us to top up Premium (TXT 0483 904 838 or [email protected]).

Can I transfer km to a mate?

No. Your km are tied to your account.

Can I get a refund on unused km?

Packs are non-refundable once they're credited. You can return the car any time, and your unused km stay on your account under the Terms.

Money

Is there a bond?

No. Your prepaid km do that job. At checkout we place a pre-authorisation through Stripe for the starter pack, and if you withdraw before the car is allocated, the hold drops off automatically after 7 days.

How do I pay?

Pay by Osko bank transfer: it's free and instant, so it's our pick. Card fees go straight to the banks. Let's not feed them. Card top-ups are credited instantly too. The checkout shows our bank details and how to write the reference (your plate plus the km, e.g. "ABC123 1000").

Are prices GST-inclusive?

Yes. Every price includes 10% GST.

Driving and the car

What's included?

A registered, maintained Tesla Model 3 or Model Y with insurance included, the Tesla app as your key, and 24/7 access.

What's not included?

Charging, tolls and fines. Tolls and fines are on-charged plus a $25 admin fee per notice.

What's the insurance excess?

$2,000 per at-fault incident. If you're not at fault, the excess is waived when you give us verifiable third-party details and a police report.

Can someone else drive?

You can register one additional household driver for $10 per extra 1,000 km. You'll need to apply for this.

What can I use the car for?

Rideshare, delivery and personal trips within Australia. No smoking, no animals (certified assistance animals are fine), no off-roading, and no sub-letting or lending the car.

How do I unlock the car?

With the Tesla app on your phone. We'll share access when you start.

What charge will the car have when I get it?

At least 80%.

Private and family use

Can I rent a Tesla for personal use, not rideshare?

Yes. Prepaid km plans suit everyday drivers, families, people between cars and people trying a Tesla before buying, as well as rideshare drivers. See Tesla rental for everyday driving. Private renters don't need a Booked Hire Driver Authorisation or a rideshare rating.

Is insurance included?

Yes. Insurance included. The at-fault excess is $2,000.

Can my partner or another family member drive?

You can register one additional household driver for $10 per extra 1,000 km. They need to apply too.

Can I take the car on a long trip or road trip?

Yes, anywhere in Australia. Plan your charging stops with the car's navigation. Our family road trip charging guide helps.

Do you have child seats and road-trip extras?

Yes: a child booster seat (A$65), a Model Y air mattress (A$185/week) and a spare tyre (A$185/week).

I'm thinking about buying a Tesla. Can I try one first?

That's a great use for prepaid km. Live with it for a few weeks, including home charging and a road trip, then decide. See Try a Tesla before you buy.

I only drive a little. Is prepaid km worth it?

Often, yes. You only use km when you drive. Prepaid km never expire as long as you top up at least once every 8 weeks.

Full Self-Driving (Supervised)

Do your cars have Full Self-Driving (Supervised)?

FSD Option Now Available on our Premium plans (brand-new 2027 Model 3 and Model Y): add FSD (Supervised) as an extra subscription on top of your prepaid km. The standard Model 3 and Model Y plans are the cheaper option, without FSD (Supervised).

How much does FSD (Supervised) cost?

It's an extra subscription on top of your prepaid km, priced by Tesla, and it's available on Premium 2027 plans only.

Does FSD (Supervised) mean the car drives itself?

No. It's driver assistance. You stay attentive and in control, with your hands ready to take over immediately, and it doesn't make the car autonomous. You're responsible as the driver.

Is FSD (Supervised) available in Australia?

Yes. Tesla lists Australia as a market where it's available for eligible vehicles, with the rollout starting on HW4. See Tesla's AU support page.

What's the difference between Autopilot and FSD (Supervised)?

Autopilot is Tesla's standard lane-keeping and traffic-aware cruise. FSD (Supervised) adds things like turns and following your nav route. Both need you to supervise at all times.

Eligibility

Who can apply?

Drivers aged 25+ with an open licence held for at least 12 months. Rideshare drivers also need a QLD Booked Hire Driver Authorisation and a good rating. Private renters are on the same Terms but don't need either of those two.

How long does approval take?

Apply online and we'll be in touch.

Charging

Who pays for charging?

You do. Home, Supercharger or public network, it's your choice. Our Terms note that even Supercharging typically works out to about half the cost of petrol per km. Our own fleet data puts Supercharging at about 8c/km (A$0.48/kWh median × about 170 Wh/km); see Supercharger costs, explained.

I've never driven an EV. Is that OK?

Absolutely. We'll walk you through charging when you start, and our EV tips hub covers the rest.
